where he received his BS in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering
degree.
Andrew Yee, Vice President of Product Development
- Andrew has over 11 years of medical product research and development
experience. He was responsible for project design and manufacturing
of various medical devices used in the NASA space shuttle program
and on Russia's MIR space station. These devices included cardiovascular
imaging systems, physiological signal acquisition systems and centrifugal
fluid handling systems. As Director of Product Development at Fairway,

around this platform technology which Fairway and LaserSonix Technologies
have partnered. Alexander received his initial training in lasers
and laser spectroscopy from the Moscow Physical and Engineering
Institute, Moscow and obtained a doctorate in laser biophysics and
biomedicine from the USSR Academy of Sciences, Moscow. Prior to
coming to Fairway, he was an Assistant Professor at the University

of optical imaging while retaining its contrast strengths. Since
leaving Amersham, he has worked to make optoacoustic imaging a clinical
reality as President of LaserSonix Technologies, Inc., Fairway's
partner for laser opto-acoustic imaging. He is the author of more
than 60 scientific publications and has been listed as an inventor

In Memoriam, Greg Georges, President and C.E.O. -
Greg had been with Fairway as President and CEO since December,
1996. He had over 25 years experience in the medical device industry,
most of it in the cardiovascular/cardiology marketplace. Since 1985,
he had been involved exclusively with start-up companies either
as an executive or as a consultant serving in various roles. He
was a member of the core management team of Kardiothor, Inc. (later
Amnion), which was the first spin-off company formed by BCM Technologies,
Inc. (BCMT is the technology transfer and venture development subsidiary
of the Baylor College of Medicine). Kardiothor successfully commercialized
the BRAT (Baylor Rapid Autologous Transfusion) System, which had
originally been developed at The Methodist Hospital. Following the
acquisition of Amnion by COBE Laboratories, Greg actively managed
the transition of the product line to COBE, including to their international
subsidiaries and distributors. He also served as V.P. of Marketing
and Sales for Optex Biomedical, Inc., another start-up, high technology
medical device company. He received a B.S in Engineering in 1968
and an MBA in 1972, both from Lehigh University.
In 2002 Greg was diagnosed with esophegal cancer. He fought his
battle against the disease with honor, courage, and dignity. Through
it all, his quick wit and gentle countenance comforted the scores
of friends and family who surrounded him. The family would like
to thank all of the medical personnel and friends who aided Greg
in his struggle.
