Vyacheslav (Slava) Nadvoretsky, Ph.D.

Vyacheslav completed his undergraduate degree in the Department of Medical Devices and Systems at Moscow Technical University of Electronics and Computer Science in Russia. He achieved his Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering in 1994 studying the ultrasound propagation in magnetic fluids.

He continued his studies in Molecular Physics focusing on theoretical aspects of ultrasound propagation in complex media with magnetic properties studying thermal and viscous mechanisms of ultrasound absorption. He suggested the existence of the new way of sound absorption in magnetic fluids – magneto-dynamic mechanism, and proved it experimentally. He developed a mathematical model of the aggregation kinetics of the magnetic particles into chains and clusters by measuring the anisotropy of the ultrasound absorption. These studies gave a solid foundation for his Doctorate thesis, and allowed him to achieve PhD in Physics and Mathematics.

He had been working in Baylor College of Medicine as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Ultrasonic Cardiology. His work was focused on experimental measurements of ultrasound backscatter in the normal and deceased aortic walls, quantitative histology and mathematical modeling. He’s got a valuable expertise in clinical ultrasound equipment and software packages.

Finally he took for the position of Research Scientist at Fairway Medical Technologies. His work concerns image and signal processing, modeling optoacoustic effects, and software development.
