Richard Su
Richard graduated with an undergraduate Biomedical
Engineering degree from Engineering Department at
the University of Texas at Austin, Texas. His
degree’s technical area was the cellular and
bio-molecular engineering along with Pre-Med
coursework and with a Business Foundation
certification from UT. He has helped in various lab
and medical settings through high school and college
through volunteer work and internship.
He is currently a Biomedical Engineer at Fairway
Medical Technologies. He works on the research and
development of a commercial optoacoustic imaging
system for detection of blood vasculature, mice, and
cancer. Responsibilities include optoacoustic
testing and simulations, phantom design, optical
measurements, developing and executing experimental
protocols, software testing and modification, signal
processing, and image analysis. Experience in MATLAB,
Labview, and VolView.
